RecExport Privacy Policy

Overview

RecExport ("the App") is an audio recording application developed by tkysyskwdev. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used.

Data We Collect

Audio Recordings: The App records audio using your device's microphone. Recordings are stored locally on your device and are only uploaded to cloud services that you explicitly configure and authorize.

Cloud Service Credentials: When you connect a cloud service (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, S3, or Webhook), authentication tokens are stored securely in the iOS Keychain on your device. We do not have access to these credentials.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect personal information or advertising identifiers.
We do not use tracking technologies.
We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
We do not process your audio on our servers — all data flows directly between your device and your chosen cloud services.

Analytics

We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service based in the EU, to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data. This helps us understand how features are used and improve the App.

What is collected:

Feature usage events (e.g., which recording trigger was used, whether onboarding was completed)
Aggregated session information (e.g., recording duration ranges such as "10–30 seconds", upload success/failure counts per cloud service)
Basic device metadata (iOS version, device model — collected automatically by TelemetryDeck)

What is NOT collected:

No personally identifiable information (no names, emails, IP addresses, or device IDs)
No audio content or file names
No precise recording durations — only anonymized ranges
No cloud service credentials or account information

TelemetryDeck does not use cookies, does not fingerprint users, and is compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR without requiring a consent dialog. For details, see the TelemetryDeck Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Cloud Services

When you choose to upload recordings, data is sent directly from your device to the cloud service you selected. Each cloud service has its own privacy policy:

For S3-compatible storage and Webhook endpoints, you are responsible for the privacy practices of the services you configure.

Permissions

Microphone: Required for audio recording. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Network: Used to upload recordings to your configured cloud services.

Data Security

Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain, which provides hardware-backed encryption. All network communications use HTTPS/TLS encryption. The App does not use custom encryption beyond standard iOS and transport-layer security.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
